Seminar on Low Emission Zones – how to estimate the air quality benefits

Low Emission Zones (LEZs) can be a very efficient way to mitigate air pollution in cities. In this seminar we will discuss how efficient LEZs are to combat air pollution and how the efficacy can be quantified? We will hear from experiences and evaluations of LEZs in Germany (Augsburg, München and Berlin) and Nordic countries including analyses of air quality benefits of the Congestion tax in Stockholm (Sweden).

The seminar is part of the ERA-ENVHEALTH project ACCEPTED (Assessment of changing conditions, environmental policies, time-activities, exposure and disease), a transnational research project on environment and health linking scientific advancement to policy and practice (http://www.acceptedera.eu/länk till annan webbplats, öppnas i nytt fönster).

Dates and deadlines

The seminar will take place in Stockholm, 17 – 18 June (starting at 12 on the 17th and ending around 14 on the 18th). The seminar is free of cost and include lunches and coffee breaks.

We need your registration before April 30. Send a mail to christer.johansson@itm.su.se.
